Apple SVP Eddy Cue is reportedly involved with the negotiations as he tries to reinforce a Maps app that has failed to live up to Apple’s expectations.
Apple Inc. is in early discussions to combine native knowledge from Foursquare Labs Inc. into its mapping software, according to individuals conversant in the talks, as the corporate continues to build an arsenal of local information to check out to tackle Google Inc.
