As Tim Cook honors what would have been Steve Jobs’ 60th birthday, the Apple CEO has been spotted in Berlin, Germany. Specifically, Cook has made an appearance at the newsroom of BILD (Bild-Zeitung), the famous German newspaper, alongside the publication’s editors-in-chief Kai Diekmann and Julian Reichelt.
Notably, BILD the newspaper is a sister publication to Computer BILD the technology magazine which famously said it lost access to review units and Apple events following their coverage of the iPhone 6 and ‘#bendgate’ last fall.
It’s unclear exactly why Cook has traveled to Germany to meet with the paper’s editors today (perhaps Cook is promoting the Apple Watch to foreign media ahead of its debut or granting an interview to the publication?), but the visit follows yesterday’s trip to the glass producer in Augsburg for Apple’s Campus 2 project.
You can see more of Cook at BILD below.
(Notice the large Surface-like touch screen table computer… begging for an iPad Pro, anyone?)
. @tim_cook Very much looking forward to your visit at @BILD today!

I bought my first Apple computer when I was 17. It took another 17 years to meet Apple boss Tim Cook here at @BILD http://t.co/Kwz0L0vQRQ
