Apple announced this morning that John Browett will probably be joining Apple as their new Senior vice chairman of Retail. Browett might be leaving his current place as CEO of Dixons Retail.
Apple® today introduced that John Browett will sign up for the company as senior vice president of Retail, reporting to Apple CEO Tim cook dinner. Browett comes to Apple from European technology retailer Dixons Retail, where he has been CEO when you consider that 2007. starting in April, he’ll be answerable for Apple’s retail strategy and the ongoing growth of Apple retail shops all over the world.
“Our retail stores are all about customer support, and John shares that dedication like nobody else we’ve met,” stated Tim cook, Apple’s CEO. “we’re delighted to have him join our team and convey his improbable retail expertise to Apple.”
previous to the position of CEO of Dixons Retail, Browett held executive positions at Tesco %including CEO of Tesco.com, and up to now prompt retail and client items clients at Boston Consulting group. B rowett holds a level in pure Sciences from Cambridge college and an MBA from Wharton trade college.
Browett replaces Ron Johnson who left Apple for J.C. Penny in November. Johnson has been credited as being the driving force behind Apple’s massive success in their retail initiative.
Dixons Retail is one of the biggest client retailers in Europe with over forty,000 workers. Dixons has already announced that Browett’s function shall be stuffed internally by Sebastian James. Browett officially makes the transition to Apple in April.
