Apple released Java SE 6 on MacOSX 10.5.2…. as a minimum… As most of us already guessed, they have got made it to be had best on the most recent MacOS version and on the most recent hardware (64bits intel only). As my team has launched a go platform product, we are caught with JDK5 for a looooooooonnng time, too dangerous.
