the new Notification center provider of OS X Mountain Lion, a characteristic borrowed from iOS, goes past its cell sibling to provide an immediate solution to send tweets from the laptop. It does not however have iOS 5’s reside ticker updates for widgets such as climate and stocks, one thing OS X presents in Dashboard as an alternative.
