FileVault flaw talk canceled. Apple made the finder of the flaw sign a confidentiality agreement, so he canceled his talk on breaking Apple’s FileVault encryption. Hopefully they’ll issue a fix instead of merely trying to shut-up discussion of it until it gets exploited by more unsavory elements. (Such as black hat hackers or governments. ) Lesson: use open source encryption instead of proprietary OS vendor solutions such as FileVault or Bitlocker.
