Withings, the maker of smart scales for measuring body weight, has announced that customers who create an account on October 13, 2026 or later must have a Withings+ subscription for automatic syncing of data to third-party apps, including Apple’s Health app. In the U.S., Withings+ costs $99.50 per year.
If you created your account on or before October 12, 2026, automatic syncing to third-party apps remains free. Since this change is tied to the account creation date, existing customers who buy a new Withings scale or other device are unaffected.Tags: Apple Health, WithingsThis article, “New Withings Users Must Pay $99/Year for Apple Health Syncing” first appeared on MacRumors.comDiscuss this article in our forums
