These are thick sturdy cables. Physically, they look indestructible. I tried flipping the end of the Lightning cable to see if it will charge both ways and it did (like the original Apple cable). They worked great for charging through a USB wall adapter. My problem is that it did not connect with my Macbook Air to synch with iTunes. Could have been a 5-star product if it did.
I know some people have problems plugging the Lightning end of the cable in iPhone/iPad cases. The insulation around the Lightning connector end is bigger than the original cable. I would consider that before doing a purchase. Look at the opening of your case, if it is too tight, then this may not be the cable for you.
3 pieces for under 12$ (current price when this review was written) is a great deal.
